The SRH1840 from Shure delivers a a super accurate, yet satiating audio experience with its deep and detailed low end, clear and accurate midrange, and smooth high frequencies. The bass maintains good control, ensuring no bleeding or muddiness. Vocals are particularly outstanding in the midrange, creating an up-close and personal connection with the listener. The high end leans slightly bright but remains controlled and detailed. The soundstage has good depth and placement, and it stays centered at the head, never exaggerating the sense of space. And overall, the SRH1840 impresses with its build quality and highly detailed sound at a very reasonable price, making it a fantastic choice for reference listening.
