This top-loading mechanism is paired with a custom-made magnetic disc clamp, specially tuned for the Design One.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAudio section utilizes the latest generation of Japanese AKM DACs, adapting the recently released AKM AK4497S Velvet Sound DAC, a perfect choice for both YBA tuning and highly accurate sound reproduction. As a compact desktop device, Design One focuses primarily on headphone users and features a balanced discrete headphone amplifier, boosting high power output up to 1.65W @ 32Ω and low output impedance. Alongside the highly precise 100-step volume control, making for an ideal pairing from high-sensitive in-ear monitors to demanding full-size headphones.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA 2.79-inch color display provides status information, while the mechanical buttons can be lifted off and rearranged with the included button removal tool.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eTruly Versatile Hi-Fi Component\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApart from the focus on SACD \u0026amp; headphone users, Design One comes with a range of other features, helping it to fit into a wide range of audio setups. Line-Out or Pre-out DAC output can be run from the rear-mounted 4.4mm balanced connector or standard RCAs into a power amplifier or active speakers for a straightforward speaker rig. Or for the full Hi-Fi system, Design One can be used as a CD transport, thanks to its SPDIF Coaxial and USB Audio digital outputs, feeding directly into an external high-end DAC.
