General

Please note Audio46 ships all orders from the United States. Special Orders may originate from manufacturers located outside the US.

Certain items may be too large to ship, such as turntables and large Bluetooth speakers. Consequently, certain items are sold exclusively in-store.

  • Purchases made Monday – Friday before 4:00 pm (Eastern Time) will be processed the same day
  • Purchases made Friday after 4:00 pm (Eastern Time) and on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) will be processed the following Monday
  • Please be aware that any order over $200 may require a signature as proof of delivery. Audio46 cannot waive signatures on merchandise due to incidents of fraud.

PLEASE NOTE: Audio46 is not responsible for lost or stolen packages that include a photo proof of delivery.

Free Shipping in the US

  • All purchases qualify for free shipping within the continental United States (48 states & DC)
  • Purchases of $100 or more qualify for fast 2-3 business day shipping for all U.S. States and territories
  • Select items qualify for free 2nd day or overnight shipping

Store Pickup

Order online and pickup in store - available at our NYC location during store hours. We are also open for in-store demos.

Please note: We can NOT accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, or PayPal payment on Pickup orders. Paying with these methods will result in us having to cancel your order.

If you intend to use Affirm, the regular Pickup method seen below will NOT work. Instead please make a Note that this is a pickup order on your Cart page. Upon entering the Checkout page, choose "Ship" the way you would for a regular shipped order, and input Audio46's address into the shipping address. Do NOT choose the "Pick up" option as you will see an ERROR message when you try to pay with Affirm.

The NYC 8.875% sales tax will be applied during checkout, and you will receive a confirmation email about when your item is ready for pickup.

You MUST bring your State ID when picking up. The address on your ID must match the address you used for your order.

Tax Exemption

The amount of tax charged for your order depends upon many factors, including:

  • The identity and location of the seller
  • The location of the approval
  • The type of item purchased
  • The destination of the shipment

Estimated Taxes Within the U.S.

  • Pickup, In Store purchase, or shipped within New York City Boroughs: 8.875% sales tax added to the price of the item(s) purchased
  • Orders shipped within New York State: will have approx 8.875% sales tax but may vary depending on local tax laws
  • (As of Jan 2023) Taxes on orders shipped to the following states include:
    • California = ~8.56%
    • Florida = ~7.05%
    • Illinois = ~8.74%
    • Massachusetts = ~6.25%
    • New Jersey = ~6.60%
    • Ohio = ~7.17%
    • Pennsylvania = ~6.34%
    • Virginia = ~5.3%
    • Washington = ~9.17%
  • Orders shipped to other U.S. States: no taxes added

Please Note: If you reside in taxed states and you do not see the sales tax added to your order total, please call us at (212) 354-6424 to verify.

Many factors can change between the time you place an order and the time your order is shipped. Therefore, the amount appearing on your order as "Estimated Tax" may differ from the sales taxes ultimately charged.

How Sales Tax Is Calculated

If an item is subject to sales or use tax in the state to which it is shipped, tax is generally calculated on its total selling price. In accordance with state tax laws, the total selling price of an item generally includes item-level shipping / handling charges, discounts / gift-wrap charges, and an allocation of order-level shipping and handling charges / discounts.

The tax rate applied to your order will generally be the combined state and local rate for the address where your order is approved or shipped. Therefore, fees associated with shipping & handling may vary.

Delayed Shipping

PLEASE NOTE: Audio46 will not be held responsible if your order is missing a unit/apartment number that causes delivery delays.

During Federally Recognized Holidays, shipping may be subject to delays. If Audio46 is closed to observe a holiday, any orders placed on that holiday will ship the following business day. If an order is placed and the total is below $100, it will ship via USPS. USPS observes ALL federal holidays. If an order is in transit during the a federal holiday, it may be subject to delay as well.

When a federal holiday falls on a Saturday, it is usually observed on the preceding Friday. When the holiday falls on a Sunday, USPS usually observes it on the following Monday. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Federally Recognized Holidays

New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous Peoples' Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day.

*Presidential Inaugurations, are also considered federally observed holidays.*

Lost / Damaged Orders

Audio46 will do everything in its power to see that your items are delivered correctly and in perfect condition. We will work with you in the event of a shipping issue. If you believe there has been a shipping error or other problem with your order, please contact us.

If a tracking number show your order is delivered and you claim it is not, we will ask you to file a police report for stolen or missing product, before we process a replacement or a refund.

Rescission Of Sale

We reserve the right to cancel any order if it has not shipped yet due to pricing error, inventory discrepancies, quality control, typographical errors, manufacturer restrictions, or payment-processing issues.

Non-shipped orders that are NOT special orders can be canceled and refunded at no extra charge. Please contact sales@audio46.com immediately if you would like to cancel your order.

Shipped orders cannot be cancelled.

Special orders, which are any products we order per customer request from a manufacturer, cannot be refunded or canceled after your card is charged.

International Shipping

Due to Federal Law, we may be unable to ship certain items that contain Lithium batteries to international destinations.

By law we are required to declare the actual purchase price of all items in your order. We cannot declare your purchase a gift or at any other amount less than the actual purchase price.

International purchases are subject to any additional fees dictated by the country receiving the package, and the international carrier.

Freight Forwarding

Audio46 is not responsible for damage, defect, material difference, or loss that occurs to goods after they're delivered to a parcel/package forwarder or intermediary address/person. This means that Audio46 is NOT able to provide a replacement or a refund for any shipment taken outside of the U.S. by hand-carrying or using a parcel/package forwarding service.

International Fees & Taxes

We do not control the taxes/duties/fees set by your country.

If you decide to use USPS shipping, please be advised that you're responsible for ALL taxes, duties, and fees upon delivery. You can use our list below for what you can expect on your international order, but please check with your local government for more information. Your delivery could take up to EIGHT (8) weeks with USPS First Class Package International Service.

For FedEx orders, you are required to pay duties, taxes, and fees with your purchase before we can delivery your item (unless you are shipping to Canada, where you are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and fees whether you use USPS or FedEx). If you refuse the package, we can NOT refund the shipping duties, taxes, and fees because once it lands in your country; FedEx keeps the amount regardless of refusal.
