The world's first pure-beryllium driver IEM
Dunu - Luna
LUNA by DUNU is the world's first pure beryllium rolled foil diaphragm flagship dynamic in-ear. As our flagship product, LUNA was tuned to a reference sound signature --- deep and natural imaging, even and smooth from top to bottom, and maximized for extension at both ends. The result is the most supremely detailed, transparent, sumptuous sounding earpiece ever crafted by DUNU. It is our best representative of beryllium’s full sonic potential, and we are absolutely thrilled to have everyone experience LUNA.
DUNU has partnered with Hangzhou-based industrial designer and long-time audiophile Moses Xu and his team for the LUNA. Xu previously worked with DUNU on the industrial design for the DK-4001. The continued partnership marks renewed focus by DUNU on putting forth a concerted design language for our products.
LUNA is a story within itself, reflecting the spirit of the first moon landing 50 years ago, and elevating the manner in which in-ear monitors are perceived.「玥」the representative Chinese character for the LUNA, signifies a heavenly, pearlescent gift from the gods. And from this luminous, round canvas, Xu worked to elevate every design element for the LUNA, blending them seamlessly with an overarching moon landing theme.

In this time of COVID19 Lockdwown. I received my Dunu Luna and have been enjoying these units. They are very light so you can go hours without noticing them in your ears. I have tried out a lot of music ( different genres) . Just for reference, Iusing Amazon HD and UHD offline music as to test how this set behaves, looking at a mix of music production approaches: Tracks for Reference (Song/Artist) Astell Kern Volume Step 85: Bloodless-Andrew Bird Beaten Down -Sharon Van Etten War on Peace- The Jesus and Mary Chain Toyota Man Neon Indian/Alex Frankel Paper Cup Real Estate/Sylvan Esso House of Music All Night Long Jarvis Cocker Serious The Whitest Boy Alive Salamander Gaz Coombes Sleep on the Left Side Cornershop Wave of Mutilation Beacon Nobody Marc DeMarco One Club Town Real Lies Cellular King Krule The Races Sports Team Switch Cass McCombs Young Buck Braids Another Life Jadu Heart About Work The Dancefloor Georgia This Must be the Place (Naive Melody) Live David Byrne Born under Punches Talking Heads Have also found that the difference between DAP's is not much at medium and low volume as I used 2 dongles to use with a Samsung Fold and Pixel 4XL and will say this IEM sounds or holds its ground even under this approach of source. Stating this based on comparing with the same approach using a DITA Dream, U12T and 1Custom MR (8 Driver). The details and feeling of being surrounded is there. Great bass that increases with burn in time . It is a rounded IEM. Also wanted to share some thoughts on the packaging: When a company decides to produce a set of IEM's like these and will expect to sell at a high price due to everything it that goes into this R&D, engineering, sourcing ,manufacturing, QA/QC, marketing but still decides to give up a bit of this margin as a way to tell a customer we are important you have to take note The contents of the package and presentation are really well made, when I compared what I get from 64 Audio, EE, Jomo, Final Audio as a comparison on price point. Not many if maybe 1 or 2 companies do this. Understand that this is tough market but how do you differentiate, just depending on the sound alone may have been good 5 years ago, but as the field get crowded and competition is hard with great products, the presentation is essential !!!! Once you present a product to a customer and feels validated on his purchase ( subliminally :relaxed:) then comes experiencing his purchase. I did what usually do with other IEM's upon opening and get them set up, however this time everything is there at your finger tips including a good mix of tips. But then as in our world today our daily life is around our phones ( with no headphone jacks :slight_frown: ) we have a USB type C dongle ready to help us at our finger tips and then caring for an expensive set of IEM's we have 2 cases so I can actually fit what I need on the go!!!!!! This for me is paying attention to the details of the entire experience that complements the construction and sound of these IEM's And is great to have found these available with Audio 46
