The HD 600 delivers a strong and resonant low end with deep yet controlled bass. In the well-tempered midrange, the HD 600’s accuracy and immaculate fidelity are equally impressive, especially given the price point. The high end offers ample detail without being overly bright or piercing, shining on strings and vocals with a smooth fluidity. While the HD 600 may lack the openness of some other higher-priced open-back, you will still hear accurate instrument placement and a good deal of depth. And overall, the HD 600 is still regarded as a gold standard for mid-fi sound on a budget.
