Sennheiser HD 569 Around Ear Headphones with Inline Mic-Closed Back

Being the Only headphone in Sennheiser's HD 500 series that is Closed-Back, makes these cans in a world of their own. The closed back HD 569 with over the ear design brings a flexible option to the home entertainment space. It gives you a rich and clear bass, adding further flexibility by making it possible to enjoy the full personal experience without disturbing others.

A true companion for real life, this noise-isolating over-ear headset lets you manage phone calls with its in-line remote, and enjoy your music anytime, anywhere.

ENJOY THE FREEDOM OF LISTENING

The closed-back over-ear design of the HD 569 provides you with two benefits: Firstly, a great soundstage, brilliantly filled by Sennheiser’s proprietary transducer system with rich detail and a powerful bass response. Secondly, an effective acoustic isolation – outside noise stays out, the music stays in. So you can enjoy your music without disturbing anyone.

LISTEN TO YOUR MUSIC, TAKE YOUR CALLS

Excelling in versatility, the HD 569 comes with two detachable cables. One is a 3-m cable with 6.3-mm straight plug for home use. The other is a 1.2-m cable with a 3.5-mm straight plug, but most of all with a 1-button remote plus microphone that lets you manage calls.

LIKE SOUND, LIKE COMFORT

With its over-ear design, the HD 569 offers exceptional wearing comfort for even the longest of listening sessions – or phone calls, for that matter – thanks to its large ear cups and soft replaceable ear pads.

Great low cost headphones!

These have great sound quality and are very comfortable! They are so quiet that you would swear that these were noise canceling headphones but they are not. Very isolating and allows you to focus on the great music! A great buy and as always Audio 46 was on point with great prices and fast shipping!

Good quality and good price

I bought these because I wanted portable headphones which were comparable to the Sennheiser HD 558's I've had for the last 5 years. I cannot be happier with the HD 569's, as they are just as good quality if not better than the 558's. Being closed back the soundstage isn't as crisp, but it makes up for that in the way they are really easy to take around in my daily life without outside sound affect what I'm listening to, and for it not bothering those I am around when I'm using them. I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone!

Great customer service

Only headphones I use. Love these things. Audio46 has outstanding customer service and exceptional delivery time. These were a replacement pair . Seems the dog was fond of them also.

Comfort for small heads and great balanced sound!

This is my first time buying "Nice" headphones. I tried a few recommended headphones in my budget, but they were all uncomfortably huge. The oval shaped cups of this model make them more comfortable, as well as the shorter band. Round cups tend to rest on my jaw a lot and not conform well to my head. That was my experience when I tried the beyerdynamic DT770 pro - I loved the cup material, but the shape and size quickly created pressure points. The DT770 also has what I've seen called a "punchier" sound on treble notes while the HD 569 is softer/more comfortable if I'm listening to a treble heavy intro to a song. With the DT770 it's like each treble note is flicking you in the ear a tiny bit rather than being smoother (for those like me who aren't familiar with audiophile terminology). The HD 569, again, are very comfortable. I like the suede-texture ear pads rather than pleather (seems less sweaty), and they aren't too firm so they conform to my head well. I'm enjoying them with a variety of music. Classical is particularly fun to listen to now compared to using basic on ear headphones.

excellent closed-back phones for shutting out the world and not bothering others while grooving to all kinds of music

first, the good: overall well balanced, engaging sound that doesn't cause fatigue. bass is very good -- no unnatural emphasis. I've heard better for rock and reggae -- the original Grado SR60's were great for producing an attack that just got you wanting to move (not so much the recent iterations, which I couldn't stand, with a treble so harsh I had to give up on them). but listening to modern electronic music on these senns is a pleasure. as is listening to celtic, bach, mozart, beethoven (symphonic and solo piano both), and big bands. I should add that I do all my listening from an HP laptop through an audiquest dragonfly (black, the bottom of the line) with an audioquest jitterbug too. I was skeptical of the latter but tried it as a low-cost mod, and the effect after a couple of days, for me, was surprising and very pleasing, particularly on older big band recordings -- they just snapped into focus. treble likewise is well defined, without the famous "sennheiser veil" in my opinion. female vocals are solid. I use Mary Chapin Carpenter, whom I've seen live several times and whose recordings I know well, as an exemplar. If it was off, I think I'd know. I've had bad luck with some of the more expensive, open back Senns -- many broke down over time, particularly at the cable attachments, or lost one channel. I needed a closed-back set of cans, b/c even relatively quiet open-backed ones disturbed my wife even upstairs in our loft/office area. these don't, except when she's trying to talk to me from six feet away and I can't hear her because I have these on. They are incredibly efficient: I seldom have the volume above 11 on the laptop meter. I use them for zoom calls for work, sometimes with the cell phone too. I prefer old-fashioned over the ears phones to earbuds, they're less trouble to put on or off. some of the older senns (eg 600,650) were nearly impossible to drive from a computer. the less good: imaging just does not compare with, say, the 559, which I tried at the audio46 store before buying these. that's a much more fun set of headphones to listen to, although the bass does get a bit tubby at times which is a turn-off for me. they do have a bit of clamping force on the head. My phillips 9500's are infinitely more comfortable, and with the help of peace's equalization, more fun to listen to. without that eq, their treble hurts my ears. but they also leak so much sound that I just can't use them at home, which is a shame b/c otherwise they would be my favorite phones. comparison: I have an old (at least 20 years) pair of ATH-M50's, also closed-back that are more comfortable, since I recently replaced the earpads and put a custom replacement over the vinyl headband that was flaking black pieces of vinyl like dandruff (both available on the net), but I'm liking the senns better these days. They have more life, somehow. my favorite phones of all time were from Stax, the only cans i have ever heard that pretty nearly mimicked the sonic signature of my celestion SL600si speakers. but those really aren't designed for laptop or mobile listening. conclusion: these wouldn't be my top choice for an audiophile rig where bothering others is not a concern b/c you're locked in your man cave. That's why I am giving them 4 rather than 5 stars. For the real world, however, particularly the one I live in, I doubt I could do better for the price. also, I like the audio46 folks and their cramped but welcoming store. you cannot go far wrong when dealing with people who share your passion.
