ThieAudio markets the Wraith as a studio reference headphone. But we actually find the Wraith to be quite delicious, precisely because it doesn’t conform to the typical studio-level, super-balanced sound found in many open-back headphones within the same price range (such as Beyerdynamics and Sennheiser). Instead, the Wraith offers a distinctively spunky and unique sound profile that performs exceedingly well for a mid-priced over-ear open-back headphone. We would recommend the Wraith to listeners seeking a one-of-a-kind sound character that’s at once, warm and articulate, with impressively detailed, yet forgiving highs.
