The Pi8 is a fantastic true wireless product that shows a clear upgrade from the previous model. With a powerful frequency response and a new design for maximum comfort, I am sure Bowers & Wilkins users are sure to love listening on these. The soundstage is immersive and puts you in the middle of your music, with stellar imaging that is very accurate, and the low end is really powerful and the first thing you notice. Mid range has a lot of detail in the textures of different instruments. And the sound on the high end is not piercing or too shrill, and doesn't cut off very suddenly when instruments ring out.

They both give you great detail and character in your tracks, making sure your listening experience is comfortable and entertaining. The Pi8 is a fantastic step up for bass lovers and people who like to fine tune their listening. The ANC is stellar and puts you in your own listening world. The older Pi7 S2 may be out of date now, but it has a great natural balance between the frequency ranges that is sure to make any track great.

When compared to the Sennheiser Momentum 4 TWS, there's some noticeable differences. The Sennheiser has a more balanced sound that has a greater emphasis on details. The Pi8 to my ears, has a more exciting, bass heavy tuning that brings a lot of fullness out of thin recordings.

Stellar soundstages, crisp highs, powerful lows, and detailed mid ranges are all things to love in both models. When it comes to choosing one over the other, I’m at a crossroads. I love the ready-to-use stock settings in the Sony XM5, though I am much more impressed with the dynamics and ANC capabilities of the Bowers & Wilkins Pi8. Some patience and fine tuning will make both of these even better than their stock settings, but it comes down to personal taste.
