This adapter is well built and a cool unique color. There is a slight upgrade in sound quality that doesn’t take away anything I can tell.

Great product at a great price very durable
If you want accurate sound, buy this data cable.....magic sound if you have great recordings. Price is low for max quality/sound product.
I am an 'on location' audio recording engineer who uses (mostly) a stereo pair of microphones for nearly all concerts/projects. The result is that I capture a 3-D sound field that can be recreated with the appropriate earbuds/headphones/DACs if all the parts in the playback chain are up to the task. I have purchased 4 other data cables of this design, including the full price Apple version, to find that one enabled very good sound reproduction, two were serviceable for non-critical listening, and one is in the closet gathering dust. All purchased in the last month, and I would have purchased this DDhifi with the original experimental pool of cables, but a cursory look did not show up audio46 as a carrier of the -product in the US. After my listening tests, and being a bit frustrated that my iPhone 14 Pro Max using the Amarra player and ifi Diablo-x DAC were not giving me sound roughly equivalent to being at the recording listening to the live feed, like I had hoped, I returned to the hunt. Live I use a Nagra 7, an AES to Toslink converter, and convert to analog via ifi DSD Signature. Having done the Signature to Diablo-x comparison already on recent live recorded material, I had high hopes for playback through my iPhone / Amarra / data cable / Diablo-x / Utopia 2022s. Those hopes were dashed during the audition process of the 4 data cables I could find on Amazon. So I pursued finding the DD hifi version of this Lightning data cable and found it at audio46. It came in the mail a couple of days ago, and an immediate audition stunned me; this data cable gave me more detail than I had heard live (using my Stellias, closed back a necessity for live recording in the same concert hall with the musicians), and it was accurate as can be. I have a very critical ear for sound accuracy and am not easily pleased. Yet not only do I hear more texture in the sound, I have more coherent pressure waves from the audio wave-fronts coming from the orchestra, which I was hoping for, someday, but not prepared to hear it from my iPhone/Amarra/DDhifi cable/Utopia 2022s. And of course, buyer beware.......some of your beloved recordings will be laid open for you to hear poor recording technique and/or marginal musicianship. But do not sacrifice magic sound from the sources that have it, just to not ever hear bad sound once in a while. This cable is cheap....do your system 'tuning' by purchasing the even cheaper brand data OTG cables on Amazon, they will indeed blur the details and hide the marginal musicianship of your favorite, but marginal recordings.....but then go back to DDhifi for your real music and smile away.
