About Returns

Audio46 carries a 30-day return policy starting from the day you receive your product. The exceptions are turntables and Astell & Kern products, which carry a 14-day return policy, and Pioneer DJ products, whose return period starts from date of purchase.

Returns are acceptable when they meet ALL the following conditions:

  • Is a product eligible for returns (see our non-returnable list)
  • Is still in like-new factory condition
    • Cosmetic damages can incur restocking fees or completely void your ability to return
  • Includes all original packaging and accessories
    • Missing packaging and accessories can incur restocking fees or completely void your ability to return, even if the item is defective. Please keep all manufacturer packaging for 30 days
  • Has NOT been registered for warranty (do NOT fill out the warranty card if you do not intend to keep the item)

Your ability to return is voided if:

  • We discover there's been tampering
  • The headphone/earphone has been blown out
  • The item has been dropped, spilled on, cracked, or any other user damage

To protect yourself from accidental damage, you can purchase Extend Accident Protection insurance on eligible products

Return Policy Abuse

Our return policy is designed for customers who need it in good faith, which is the majority of you! Our regular customers should have nothing to fear.

Audio46 monitors the ratio of purchases versus returns, both in terms of quantity and of total value, whether through a single account or across multiple account. , we reserve the right to refuse customers from purchasing from us again.

Common Issues

"Bluetooth headphone is hissing" - in our experience, 9 out of 10 times the hissing heard through them is due to environmental interference rather than a defect. Make sure to test the Bluetooth mode in more than one location to rule it out.

"Bluetooth product isn't pairing to my device" - the first thing to always check is whether a full factory reset can help. Instructions can be found in the respective manufacturer's manual. Additionally, make sure your firmware is up-to-date to the latest version.

"This product is incompatible with..." - Here at Audio46, we simply cannot anticipate every single outcome with a customer's personal setup, especially when it comes to compatibility with operating systems. We will gladly assist with returns on issues reported within 30 days of purchase.

"Your listing didn't mention..." - The information on our listings come directly from the manufacturer. If there arises a situation where the manufacturer's information is not enough, we will make the proper edits. Manufacturers are also known to make changes to their designs and packaging without notifying us; we will update our listing once we're made aware.

Non-Returnable products

Sales are FINAL on the following items:

  • Special orders (learn more)
  • Eartips and earpads, even if unopened, that are sold separately from earphones/headphones
  • Price matched purchases
  • Custom in-ear
  • Limited Edition or Special edition
  • Items meant for underwater use

Return in Person

We accept returns for online purchases at our physical location at 29 West 46th Street, New York, N.Y. 10036

You will need to bring your ID to confirm your identity.

You must arrive at least TWO HOURS before closing for in-person returns/exchanges.

Return by Mail

Use our Returns/Exchange form to receive your RMA.

  • We're unable to supply RMA by live chat or phone call
  • Returns missing RMA numbers may be delayed or refused
  • The RMA must be postmarked within 7 days or it will expire. If you have not been approved for an extension and it is shipped later than 7 days, we have the right to refuse it or charge 25% restocking fee
  • All mail returns must be authorized first. Returns without written confirmation from us can incur up to a 20% restocking fee

Customers are responsible for return shipping. If you request a prepaid return label, the amount will be deducted from your refund/store credit. Audio46 will only cover prepaid return labels if we determine the unit failed under warranty within 7 days or a shipping mistake was made by Audio46.

In-store purchases can be returned via the postal service, however the consumer must pay ALL parcel costs.

PLEASE NOTE: When you mail back an item worth more than $100, you must insure it with the courier for the full value of the item or else, if the package gets lost, the most you'll be able to get back is $100 from the courier. Audio46 is unable to refund lost package returns.

International Returns

Products shipped internationally are still eligible for returns. Any customs fees/taxes that were associated with your package may be non-refundable in the event of a return.

Things to keep in mind:

  • International orders are NOT eligible for Prepaid return shipping, even if item is defective. Customers must ship at there own expense.
  • Audio46 is not responsible for damage, defect, material difference, or loss that occurs to goods after they're delivered to a parcel/package forwarder or intermediary address/person. This means that Audio46 is NOT able to provide a replacement or a refund for any shipment taken outside of the U.S. by hand-carrying or using a parcel/package forwarding service.
  • In the event that you wish to not pay the customs fees associated with your package, it will be returned to Audio46 by your country. Any shipping costs will be on the burden of the customer. Some countries will require that customs be paid for even if the package never leaves customs. Refusal to pay customs fees in these countries, will result in the fees and any shipping costs to be deducted from your refunded amount. In the event that your fees exceed the purchase price, Audio46 reserves the right to bill you for the difference.


Refunds can only be issued after we receive the product back. Restocking fees can apply.

Once your item is in our return queue, it can take 3 to 5 business days for a refund to be processed. Afterwards, it can 3 to 10 business days for the amount to be credited back to you by your bank.

Please note:

  • We cannot issue refunds for payments made with Gift Cards -- you will receive store credit instead
  • Returns on orders with any variation of "free overnight shipping" will have the cost of the shipping label deducted from their refund
  • If you refuse delivery, any associated shipping and customs fees will be deducted from the amount you paid for your order, even if product is returned back. Please make sure you want the product before you place an order
  • International taxes/duties are only refundable at the discretion of the country receiving the package. Audio46 has no control of these costs and therefore has no ability to refund them


Exchanges/replacements can only be issued after we receive the original product back. Restocking fees can still apply.

Once your item is in our return queue, it can take 3 to 5 business days for an exchange/replacement to be processed.

PLEASE NOTE: If you claim a product is defective, we reserve the right to test it with our audio engineers. If we cannot find or replicate the defect, we cannot offer a replacement; you will be issued a refund, which may include any applicable fees.

Store Credit

Store credit can only be issued after we receive the original product back. Restocking fees can still apply.

Once your item is in our return queue, it can take 3 to 5 business days for store credit to be processed

When applying store credit on a new order, we will work with you on the most efficient way to use the amount to cover the new item.

Fee Policy

First time returns generally* do NOT have a restocking fee as long as it's still in like-new condition with all its original packaging and accessories. The only thing you'd be responsible for is the return label.

(*unless there is an extreme circumstance, the product page mentions a restocking fee, or a specific restocking fee already applies based on below)

Return shipping (General)

Customer is responsible for the cost of return labels unless item is defective or a mistake was made. DEFECTS MUST BE REPORTED WITHIN 7 DAYS TO QUALIFY FOR RETURN LABEL. International orders are NOT eligible for prepaid return shipping even if item is defective.

Refusing a shipment, return fee will be deducted from refund, since carrier charge our account for the return.

Special Orders ship directly from either the Manufacturer or from Audio46 to the consumer. If a Special Order item is defective, you may contact Audio46 for assistance in how to get a replacement for the item. However, the burden of replacing the item and the warranty claim will be the responsibility of the consumer. ANY ITEM LISTED AS SPECIAL ORDER WILL BE SUBJECT TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
