Sennheiser recently released their newest wireless earphones, the Sennheiser CX Sport. The CX line sounds great, so I’m interested to see if that translates to these sweat resistant, fin-style fit earphones. Comfort and Fit
When I first put the Sennheiser CX Sport earphones in my ears, it took a second to find the correct eartip size. Admittedly, I have weird shaped ears, so finding this fit is always a struggle. However, once I found that my ears prefer the small fins and the medium tips, the fit was solid. It felt secure in my ear and withstood running and jumping perfectly. Additionally, the silicone fins are soft and made the experience more comfortable.
Build and Durability
The majority of the build of the Sennheiser CX Sport earphones is made of plastic. However, all the plastic pieces seem to be built very well. They seem to have strength and durability in mind. For example, there is a tiny strain relief right were the cable meets the earpiece. And since the cable is relatively short and comes with a shirt clip, it seems like it is much less likely to be put in harm’s way.
Wireless Connection
The wireless connection of the Sennheiser CX Sport Earphones is impressively strong. It stayed connected to my phone for over 30 feet and only needed line of sight with my phone at the very edge of its range. It has a battery life of about 6 hours and recharges fully in 1.5 hours. Additionally, 10 minutes of charging yields 1 hour of playback.
Sound – Sennheiser CX Sport Bluetooth Earphones Review
The sound of the Sennheiser CX Sport Earphones will definitely pump you up! It has a deep and accurate bass that works well for hip-hop, electronic, pop, and dance music. It also handles transients quickly, so it works well for uptempo songs with quick kick drums or four-on-the-floor beats without clouding up the low-end. The highs are crisp for vocal clarity and the midrange gives a full image of the music. It has an exciting sound that reveals lots of details without sounding sterile. They really are my favorite sounding wireless earphones for sports!
Overview – Sennheiser CX Sport Bluetooth Earphones Review
The Sennheiser CX Sport earphones are a great set of bluetooth earphones for $129.00. They have a comfortable fit, have a strong Bluetooth connection, and have a great sound! I wish their battery life was longer than 6 hours, but for the types of workouts I do, it won’t be a problem.
