JBL is a subsidiary of legendary audio company Harman.  JBL has been around for quite some time, since 1946 to be exact.  JBL has been at the forefront of excellence and innovation ever since it’s inception.  James B. Lansing founded JBL one year after leaving Altec Lansing as their Vice President of Engineering in 1945.  The company was first called Lansing Sound, Inc., from 1 October 1946, and later changed its name to James B. Lansing Sound. In 1969, JBL speakers were used to set up a small outdoor event in upstate New York, that event grew to immense proportions and actually turned into the largest and most prolific music event of all time, Woodstock. That same year, JBL was acquired by Harman. Since it’s acquisition JBL has continued to grow and prosper.

Audio46 is a authorized JBL store. We see the excellence and achievements of this company and stand behind it’s quality products. We are ecstatic to be your premiere New York City JBL shop.
