Setting a new Hi-Fi audio standard for novice listeners, the entry-level Astell & Kern A&norma SR15 delivers a world-class sound at an affordable price.  Embodying the philosophy and technology that has won accolades the world over, the SR15 offers a robust listening experience in a beautiful, eye-catching form.  

Using two audio DAC chips for a dual-DAC setup, the A&futura SR15 takes a sophisticated approach to replicating audio in its purest form.  Known for their use in home audio setups, the two CS43198 MasterHIFI chipsets offer a greater presence than DACs found in mobile devices and smartphones.  

The CS43198 is one of only a few DAC chipsets that is capable of bringing a listener even closer to the original sound when it's matched with the analog amp design of Astell&Kern.

Complementing these impressive internal components, a Quad-core CPU facilitates a smooth and snappy user interface.  Designed for ease-of-use, the SR15 offers a simple and easily-navigated menu system.

The A&norma SR15 plays any resolution of digital files up to 24-bit/192 kHz, bit-for-bit.

For 32-bit audio, downsampling is performed by the SRC (Sample Rate Converter) method.

DSD is native up to 64 MHz and DSD 128 MHz is converted to PCM for playback.

The Astell & Kern A&futura SR15 also offers USB audio output, allowing the player to be used with DACs and other components that have USB audio input.  This allows the SR15 to be used as a source device for your music library or as a pre-amp to output digital audio via USB. DSD will transfer in native format through DoP (DSD over PCM) and converts DSD to PCM for output when connected USB audio devices do not support DoP.  

A&norma SR15 was inspired by a composition of interconnected rectangles. The slight angle and precise, mindful alignment show the empty space and tones that fills the space.

From any angle, or either hand you hold your device, it does not hinder the display screen and offers the best grip.
