The LCD-XC Closed-Back has a somewhat neutral timbre compared to models like the LCD-2 Closed Back, with less bass bump and flatter upper bass response. Still, in classic Audeze fashion, the LCD-XC offers superb depth and clarity in the low end. The mids feel natural and sit a bit forward, with a touch of brightness and shimmer as you move up the frequency range. And, of course, you can expect an incredibly spacious soundstage that the brand is famous for, with instruments soaring way above, behind and in front of the head. The result is a super-vibrant tapestry of sound that leaves you fully engaged in the music for hours. Don’t forget to bathe.
