Maple wood has long been used in stringed instruments due to its high density and desirable tone quality. “Flame Maple”, with a beautiful flame-like texture, is used for the housing of ATH-WP900.
Unique Flame Maple Finish
This unique finish, created and applied by leading Japanese guitar manufacturer FujiGen, imparts a clear and quick tone with excellent frequency transmission. Not only beautiful to look at, each piece of finished Flame Maple is completely unique and painted one-by-one.
53mm DLC Driver
Our newly designed 53mm driver uses a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coated diaphragm that improves the high frequency response, and our top-mount PCB system smooths the airflow and accurately controls the movement of the diaphragm. A strong magnet is used for excellent low-frequency representation.
Improved Clarity and Fit
For the ATH-WP900, we adopted a new baffle with an angle. This optimizes the ventilation of the driver's front and rear chambers to achieve clear mid-low range playback without distortion. In addition, this structure naturally tilts the ear pads and wraps them evenly around the ears, resulting in an improved seal and fit.
Removable High-Quality A2DC Connector
A2DC is a specially designed connector with excellent audio quality and durability. The connector tip is uniquely designed to eliminate sound interruptions and noise.

Sparkly!!
These headphones are one of my favorites! The sound signature is V-shaped, but thats what makes these such engaging headphones to listen to! These ride the knife edge on the highs, but not sibilant. Surprisingly, these are quite analytical. They are comparable in the highs department similar to the UM Mest. For the price, these headphones cannot be beat.
Lightweight and good looking, heavy-hitting sound
Fun engaging sound with a V-shaped profile, which is exactly what I was looking for as I listen for enjoyment and not analytically. Driving these balanced from an iFi zen DAC v2 and they have great subbass rumble, slam, but with good separation and no bloat in my opinion. Comfortable pads and so lightweight I forget I'm wearing them The flame maple looks even better in person. Wish it came with a better case instead of the included pouch is my only area for improvement.
great travel wood headphone
This is a light weight wood headphone with beautiful cups. This has a classic v-shaped signature in my opinion, with an extended bass response that reaches impressively low and delivers generous amounts of rumble and slam, and it does sound warmer than neutral But overall it's not like your th900 V shape
Great Looks, Comfort and Sound but probably overpriced
Very smooth sounding and clear. Wish the clamping force was slightly higher for better bass response though. Very comfortable to wear because of low weight. Would not say the sound is worth the asking price but style and comfort are top notch.
