4.4mm Revision
The crucial upgrade for the British-built Mojo 2 sees one of the two original 3.5 mm outputs replaced by the 4.4 mm socket. The improvement opens up the Mojo 2 to a far greater range of high-performance headphones, while retaining a convenient 3.5 mm connection. In addition, both the 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm outputs have independent volume memory, giving the ability to precisely set output levels for different headphones.
Chord Electronics has further upgraded the Mojo 2 with the addition of switchable USB-C charging, simplifying the Mojo 2’s charging operation; the device’s existing USB-C input is now enabled for both data and charging.
Changes from the Original
- Replaces one 3.5 mm socket, for greater compatibility with a wider range of high-end headphones
- Now supports switchable USB-C charging using the USB-C data input, simplifying connectivity and power management within a single standard

UHD DSP for Precision Sound Control
Mojo 2 introduces the world’s first lossless DSP, offering precise tone control across the full frequency range without any degradation in sound quality. This breakthrough technology ensures compatibility with a wide range of headphones and audio formats, delivering a perfect listening experience every time.
The custom 104-bit DSP core operates at 705/768 kHz, enabling 18 levels of adjustment per frequency band for detailed fine-tuning of bass, mid-bass, treble, and high treble.

Improved Functionality and Battery Life
The new menu system offers features like mute, four levels of crossfeed, and a button lock for travel. Volume control has also been refined, with an expanded range from +18 dB to -108 dB and two operational modes for low and high volumes.
A new FPGA-based battery system allows for faster charging, reduced power loss, and cooler operation. With an increased capacity, the Mojo 2 offers over eight hours of playback time. Its enhanced Intelligent Desktop Mode lets users bypass the battery for uninterrupted desktop use without affecting sound quality.

Superior Sound Clarity
Thanks to a digital DC servo and DC coupling, the Mojo 2 is more transparent than ever. Its improved WTA filter, with 40,960 taps and 40 DSP cores, enhances clarity and reduces noise. Additionally, an updated noise-shaper and refined 4e Pulse Array DAC improve detail retrieval while lowering distortion and out-of-band noise, creating an ultra-neutral sound profile without the use of coupling capacitors.

COMPATIBLE WITH POLY FOR STREAMING
Completely compatible with our Wireless streaming module Poly, Poly allows for wireless integration to your system.

FAQ
-
What is the Mojo 2?
Mojo 2 is a portable DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) and headphone amplifier designed and built in Britain. It uses Chord Electronics' proprietary FPGA technology to deliver high-resolution sound from smartphones, tablets, laptops, streamers, and other digital audio sources. -
What changed with the 4.4mm Mojo 2 revision?
The updated Mojo 2 replaces one of the original two 3.5mm headphone outputs with a 4.4mm headphone output. This makes it easier to use modern headphones and IEMs with 4.4mm cables without needing an adapter, while still retaining a standard 3.5mm headphone output. -
What inputs and outputs does Mojo 2 support?
Mojo 2 features USB-C, Micro-USB, optical, and coaxial digital inputs, along with one 3.5mm headphone output and one 4.4mm headphone output. The revised version also supports switchable USB-C charging, while the dedicated Micro-USB charging input remains available. -
Does the 4.4mm output improve sound quality?
The main benefit of the 4.4mm output is compatibility and convenience. Many higher-end headphones and IEMs now use 4.4mm cables, so the revised Mojo 2 lets you connect them directly. The core Mojo 2 DAC and amplifier design remains focused on Chord's FPGA-based digital processing and transparent sound quality. -
Can I use both headphone outputs at the same time?
Yes, Mojo 2 can support listening through both headphone outputs. The revised version includes one 3.5mm output and one 4.4mm output, making it more flexible for users with different headphone cable terminations. -
Does Mojo 2 remember different volume levels for each output?
Yes, the revised Mojo 2 includes independent volume memory for the 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs. This is useful if you switch between sensitive IEMs and harder-to-drive full-size headphones, since each output can retain its own preferred listening level. -
What makes Mojo 2 unique?
Mojo 2 uses Chord Electronics' custom FPGA technology, developed over decades, rather than a typical off-the-shelf DAC chip. It also features UHD DSP, a lossless digital tone control system that lets you adjust the sound without the usual quality loss associated with conventional EQ. -
How does the UHD DSP function work?
Mojo 2's UHD DSP allows precise tone control across several parts of the frequency range without degrading sound quality. It offers 18 levels of adjustment per band for bass, mid-bass, treble, and high treble, making it useful for fine-tuning different headphones or recordings. -
Can the Mojo 2 drive high-impedance headphones?
Yes, Mojo 2 is designed to drive a wide range of headphones, including high-impedance models up to 800Ω. It offers strong output power, low noise, and a wide dynamic range for both portable and desktop listening. -
How long does the battery last?
Mojo 2 offers over 8 hours of playback time and features an intelligent battery management system designed to reduce power loss, improve efficiency, and support desktop use without compromising sound quality. -
Is the Mojo 2 compatible with wireless streaming?
Yes, Mojo 2 is compatible with the Chord Poly module, which adds wireless streaming, network audio playback, and microSD music library support. -
What is included in the box?
Mojo 2 includes the DAC/headphone amplifier, a quick start guide, and a Micro-USB to USB-A cable for charging and connection. -
What devices can Mojo 2 connect to?
Mojo 2 can connect to smartphones, tablets, laptops, streamers, and other digital audio sources using USB-C, Micro-USB, optical, or coaxial inputs. It supports high-resolution playback up to 768kHz and DSD256.
