Professional Balanced-to-Single-Ended Signal Conversion

This adapter does NOT simply short the negative balanced channel to ground — such improper wiring would raise load risk and damage your audio devices. 

Its precise circuit taps the positive left & right signals from the 4.4mm balanced output, and routes return current to the native ground pin of the 4.4mm port. It utilizes half of the balanced output power to deliver a clean single-ended signal.

*Note: This DJ30SE cannot work with players whose 4.4mm jack lacks a ground pin, including Sony music players with 4.4mm balanced output.

Already ultra-slim! Developed based on the DJ44L, the DJ30SE features a lowered overall profile. When paired with headphone cables equipped with 3.5mm straight plugs, it stays compact and does not look bulky at all.

Full-Metal One-Piece Construction

The DJ30SE adopts aviation-grade aluminum alloy for its shell, crafted via precision CNC machining. It comes with a thickened anodized surface finish, boasting high hardness and excellent wear resistance. With full-body shielding, it effectively blocks external electromagnetic interference and minimizes sound quality loss caused by adapter conversion.

You may wonder why convert 4.4mm balanced output to 3.5mm single-ended if sound quality seems compromised. Here are two practical use cases:

Scenario A: Your audio player only features a 4.4mm output jack, while your headphones are terminated with a 3.5mm plug.

Scenario B: Your player is equipped with both 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs that differ in gain and output impedance. For certain 3.5mm headphones, the converted single-ended signal from the 4.4mm port delivers more pleasing tonal performance.
