XMOS-XU208 Chipset: A High-Performance USB-DAC
With the XU208 USB chipset used in the DX150 and with the Thesycon USB driver, the DX150 can be used as a high-performance USB-DAC.
PD2.0 Rapid Charge
The DC150 has a 3.8V 4400mAh low internal resistance li-polymer battery. With the AMP6 AMP card, the play time is approximately 10.5 hours. The DX150 support Type-C PD2.0 rapid charge, also compatible with the QC2.0 rapid charge. The PD2.0 supports up to 100W that can fully charge the DX150 in two hours.
Fully Balanced Design Starting from the Dual DACs to Output
The DX150 utilizes two AK4490EQ chips. Each AK4490EQ has 2 built-in DACs. This means that the DX150 has 2 DACs in parallel for each channel. The DXC150 also has several ultra-low noise power regulators that provide the clearest power for the DACs. Panasonic film capacitors and symmetry topology, that altogether utilizes the full potential of the AK4490. On our test equipment (APX525), we measured -110dB on THD+N and 118dB for S/N, which shows the highest performance of the AK4490.
Full Synchronization Technology: TCXO, PLL
The DX150 is very different compared to the multi oscillators-based DAC. With this synchronization technology, TCXO and PLL, the DX150 reduces jitter to an extremely low level. Also, with this technology, switching oscillators for different sample rates are no longer needed, which eliminates the popping sound when oscillators are changed. This is the first time PLL technology usually found on high-end desktop DACs has been used in a portable digital audio player. Our PLL technology makes the input clock and output clock nearly identical and by providing this very precise clock, sound quality is improved, enhancing the ultimate musical experience.
Replaceable AMP Card
Inheriting the replaceable AMO card feature from the DX200, the DX150 is compatible with all the DX200 AMP cards. With different AMP cards, the DX150 can provide completely different listening experiences, giving you more choices for your listening pleasure.
Comes with the AMP6, A new Beginning
Having the newest buffer from TI, and the ultimate power supply, the AMP6 significantly reduces the power consumption and heat generation, which at the same time retaining a high-power output and excellent fidelity. Even with this high-power output, play time is now longer than 10 hours. AMP6 also utilizes 0.05% high precision resistors, which help to decrease distortion to a very low level. Combining this with Panasonic POSCAP and ultra-low noise power regulators result in a more pure, clean and accurate sound.
Android OS, Open Platform
Inheriting the Android OS and drivers from the DX200, the DX150 is able to break through the sample rate limitation of Android. In other words, the DX150 doesn’t have the Android SRC limitation. By having the ultimate structure for audio, the DX150 is able to reproduce each bit of sound in vivid detail. The Android OS also allows the installation of any third-party Application. You can now experience everything you want in apps for more fun and a higher fidelity musical experience.
