Rai Solo has been born from our vision to offer entry-level audiophiles a solid built and great value IEM. Ergonomic design, sturdy stainless-steel shell, refined dynamic driver, all for one purpose: enchanting your senses through a pure listening experience.
In developing the Rai Solo, we looked for a fun but well refined and controlled sound signature. The frequency response is slightly V-shaped but we consider it to be Fun-neutral. The strongest correlation between the Rai Solo and the Rai Penta is the similar shape of the IEM. The use of Metal Injection Moulding technology for the body of the Solo made it possible to have a very complex inner shape made in mass production with great accuracy.

TRADITIONAL DRIVER MEMBRANE
In a traditional electro-dynamic driver the voice coil lead wires are glued to the back side of the thin membrane. This is the major factor of the unbalanced vibration.
WIRE FREE UPM DESIGN
The new UPM driver eliminates this inconvenience using a totally different approach: the membrane itself is electrically conductive and therefore no wires are attached to the diaphragm. The result is a symmetric pistonic motion through its entire movement, without disturbance from the unbalance created by wires.

VIBRATION REDUCTION SYSTEM
Stainless steel is an extremely rigid material, has low resonance and therefore delivers minimum interference to the vibration created by the driver unit. In terms of audio performance, these advantages contribute to a clean and dark background with well-defined imaging.

Nice IEM’s
When I first opened these, I was not too impressed. Even contacted the store to initiate a return authorization. That was on a Friday. So I hooked them up to my Sony and just let it play all weekend. Come Monday I was gonna give them one more chance to shine before packing them up, and boy did they shine. These need burn-in to produce their best sound. I’m keeping these,…
Couldn't ask for anything more
For the price, I would say they are pretty good. I like the solid construction. my only complaint is the screen to keep stuff out of them fell out, but other than that they are a solid pair of IEM's.
Pure quality
The first week of listening was an ok impression even switching different ear tips till I found the right one for my ear fitting and taste of sound, but after a week it’s a whole new experience in a good way , like I said pure quality

A really interesting IEM
Cheapaudioman on YouTube really said it best; these IEM's need time to open up. The great debate of "burn-in", well in this circumstance it is absolutely necessary. When I first got them, they were muffled and rather unpleasant to listen to. I thought here goes another impulse IEM buy into the yard sale bucket. I let them play overnight and they began to open up. I could texture in the music and the sound stage was surprisingly wide and deep for an IEM, let alone an IEM at this price! They definitely benefit from some additional power; Chord Mojo, a Periodic Audio Rhodium and an RME ADI-2 DAC all made them sound all the better. After some time, I started hearing nuanced guitar riffs, cymbal sizzle, breaths before sax and brass notes out in the periphery of songs. They are beautifully made for an IEM at any price point and quite comfortable for long listening sessions. Jazz, Rock, Ambient, R&B, Soul, and Electronic all sounded fantastic(AFTER burn in). The Meze Rai Solo's drew me into the music and kept me there; enjoying every note. And in the end, isn't that why we buy audio gear, to enjoy music?
