The Aeon Flow Open is a somewhat warm headphone that delivers a smooth, chill vibe. You can expect a rich bass and generous lower mids, which add ample flesh to the mix. The high frequencies are also sumptuous and avoid reaching uncomfortable peaks, while remaining well extended. And overall, the Aeon Flow delivers a calm momentum, never smacking you in the face in the upper-mids. Rather, it moves through the music with a steady ease (it may even be too relaxed for those who enjoy a particularly dynamic sound). Also, we would be underserving this headphone if we didn't mention its incredibly light weight and high level of comfort. And given its compact design, the Aeon Flow is also one of the most portable planar magnetic headphones on the market. An added plus: since these cans are so easy to drive, you won't need to spend extra cash on an amplifier.
