NEW GENERATION OF DESIGN

M9 is the first player to adapt our new design approach, inspired by our 25th anniversary edition Hi-Fi line. Using precise CNC machines, creating the main chassis from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminium, with a complex wave pattern on the sides. And adding glass panels to front, back and top of the player, for a clean and smooth look.

TRUE-LIFE COLORS

Main screen of M9 is a beautiful 6-inch LCD panel from Sharp, offering 2160*1080 resolution, stunning colors and great viewing angles. And it looks even better fitted into the “floating screen” design of the front panel.

Simple secondary screen was added to the notch, providing you with a constant display of time, charging, volume or playing sampling rate. Keeping you informed without any need to turn on the main screen.

ULTIMATE AKM SOUND

Audio circuit is based around two AKM AK4499EQ DACs. This best-in-class DAC was basis for our acclaimed M8, but sadly, it was discontinued last year. M9 is using our last remaining stock of these DACs, all manually paired for each unit of M9, for the ultimate sound performance.

KDS Crystal Oscillators & 3rd Generation FPGA
Two Japanese KDS active crystal oscillators and improved Shanling s algorithm provides better accuracy and enhanced performance when decoding PCM or DSD data, up to 32 bit / 768 kHz and DSD512.

Improved I/V Convertor
Our engineers pushed the design of M9 much further, managing to achieve even better performance from its AKM DACs than any previous Shanling Player.

Japanese ELNA Capacitors
Proven audio-dedicated component of High-End SACD players and amplifiers, our engineers used eight of the top-grade ELNA Silmic Il capacitors in the amplifier circuit of Shanling M9.

Shanling's CPAF Technology
In order to solve the group delay issue of a traditional low-pass filtering, our engineers designed a new audio circuit, based on advanced mathematical models, utilizing the CPAF technology - Constant Phase in All Frequencies. Inspired by the amplifier from the original Shanling M3, our very first portable player.

Running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 CPU, with eight cores, 11nm architecture and Andreno 610 GPU, providing more than enough processing power for any modern applications. Also allowing for a longer battery life thanks to the lower power consumption and its reduced heat emission is very welcomed in a Hi-Fi grade device.
