Its direct-coupled chassis design uses screws to secure the aluminum frame and OFC rear chassis for a more stable ground. Inside, an OFC milled block shields the digital circuitry, while a high-purity 4N copper coil supports balanced output. Dual low-phase-noise crystal oscillators, gold-containing solder, a 10-layer low-dielectric circuit board, and an optimized separation of audio and digital circuitry further support precise signal reproduction.

Sony’s advanced sound processing gives you more ways to experience music, from faithful high-resolution playback to tailored analog-inspired sound.

Alongside DSD Remastering and DSEE Ultimate, the Vinyl Processor recreates characteristics such as low-frequency resonance and surface noise. The DC Phase Linearizer provides six selectable settings to emulate the phase characteristics of different analog amplifiers. The S-Master HX amplifier also offers three selectable look-ahead noise-shaping types.
