Built with high-end components you'd expect to find in a top of the range sound system, the ZX900 is the next phase in portable sound fidelity.

Its aluminum-alloy frame is paired with a gold-plated oxygen-free copper (OFC) rear chassis, while an OFC milled block shields the digital circuitry and reinforces grounding. A 10-layer, low-dielectric circuit board with copper-filled vias and a layout that separates audio circuitry from power and digital components helps minimize interference.

Premium parts include an ultra-low-noise LDO regulator, high-polymer and FT CAP3 capacitors, an 8 mm coil for balanced output, and two low-phase-noise crystal oscillators for the 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz sampling-rate families. Internal OFC wiring and gold-containing solder further support clean, stable signal transmission.

Sound processing

Our unique sound processing technology is key to bringing the subtlest details of your music to life, delivering impeccable sound regardless of genre or style.

The S-Master™ HX amplifier uses a look-ahead noise shaper to anticipate quantization noise and improve the clarity of fast musical transients. For a personalized sound, Vinyl Processor recreates some of the warmth and character of records, while DC Phase Linearizer offers six settings inspired by the phase response of analog amplifiers. Direct Source, a 10-band equalizer, and Dynamic Normalizer provide additional listening options.

Native DSD playback at up to 11.2 MHz requires a balanced headphone connection; when using the stereo mini-jack, DSD is played back as PCM.
