Ultrasone probably makes the most transparent sound on the market. Not a single element is lost in the mix, and at times, you may wish that the Signature Studio wasn't so damn honest, especially with older or more mediocre recordings. In terms of sound signature, the low-end delivers a clean and rich bass, offering a some punch to modern tracks Although you will get a decent dose of midrange presence, the sound signature slightly skews towards a v-shape profile. As a result, you'll hear a more dramatic contrast between the low and high frequencies. Overall, this is quite a bright headphone, so if you're looking for a particularly warm sound, keep looking. At the end of the day, these headphones are primarily designed for professional applications. At the same time, we can see some critical listeners also enjoying the incredible level of detail that the Signature Studio delivers.

We listened carefully during the design of the Signature STUDIO – and that went far beyond the tonal balance. Musicians and sound engineers from around the world contributed countless ideas during the development of this new Signature model. They encouraged us to question the status quo and develop a set of ULTRASONE studio headphones with the resolution, robustness and high shielding to impress even the most demanding of users.
Perfect in the studio – and on the road
The Signature STUDIO was designed for modern professional audio applications: these also include mobile use – when editing sound on a notebook, for example – or live use. The choice of driver ensures that audio material can be assessed properly with the greatest range of audio players. From an Apple™ MacBook Pro® audio output through to a professional headphone amp – the Signature STUDIO provides precision playback for all audio sources.

While developing the Signature STUDIO, we focused on studio use and professional mobile applications. In the case of the latter you need one thing: silence! Thanks to its closed construction, the Signature STUDIO separates you from the outside world so that you can concentrate completely on your work. This quality also makes the Signature STUDIO a welcome partner in the recording studio.
Titanium at its heart: the sound transducer
At the heart of the Signature STUDIO are titanium-coated 40-millimetre Mylar sound transducers. This is the perfect diameter to ensure reliable sound assessment is possible. With a frequency range of 8 to 40000 Hz, the Signature STUDIO covers a spectrum larger than the range of human hearing. The coating with one of the hardest materials in the world guarantees high-resolution and precise reproduction of the audio material.
Robust design for professional use
The ULTRASONE Signature STUDIO exudes professional elegance. The no-nonsense, robust PRO design is made for tough daily use in the recording studio or on the go. Simply put: the Signature STUDIO was designed for demanding use. That means we use the same robust plastic from the PRO series, with its tried and tested durability, for the headband and ear cups. The same criteria were used when choosing the material for the head and ear pads.
High wear comfort for long studio sessions
Along with S-Logic® Plus technology – which makes near fatigue-free sound assessment possible for hours at a time – the combination of the Signature STUDIO’s comfortable cushioning and its light weight of only 290 grams ensures comfortable extended use. The headphones adapt automatically to the wearer’s physiognomy. Breathable materials prevent irritating transpiration under the ear cups. This allows you to focus on the nitty-gritty: the music.
